Joslyn Barnhart Trager is an Assistant Professor of Government at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut specializing in International Relations. She completed her Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles in September 2013. Her research interests are in international security, foreign policy, and quantitative methods, with a focus on conflict over territory, nuclear proliferation, the evolution of norms in the international system, the role of emotions in decision-making, and sources of influence in the international system. Prior to UCLA, she received an M.A. in International Relations from Claremont Graduate University, where she focused on political philosophy and Behavioral Economics, and a B.A. in Biology and Psychology from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
